Terms and Conditions for Carpet Cleaning E14

Carpet cleaning service in progress with professional equipmentThese Terms and Conditions apply to all carpet cleaning services, upholstery cleaning, rug care, stain treatment, and related domestic or commercial cleaning work provided under the Carpet Cleaning E14 service. By making a booking, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully before confirming any appointment. These terms are intended to set out a fair and transparent agreement between the customer and the service provider, covering the booking process, payments, cancellations, liability, waste handling, and the legal framework that applies to the service. For clarity, references to carpet cleaning, carpet cleaning services, and carpet cleaners all refer to the same range of cleaning work offered under this service.

In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the carpet cleaning service provider, and “you” or “the customer” refers to the person requesting or receiving the service. A booking may be made by a tenant, landlord, homeowner, business representative, or authorised agent, provided they have permission to arrange the work. The customer is responsible for ensuring that access is available and that the cleaning area can be safely and reasonably serviced on the agreed date.

Booking and service confirmation for carpet cleaningThese terms are designed to operate alongside any written quotation, job confirmation, or service description issued before the appointment. If there is any conflict between a written quotation and these terms, the written quotation will take priority only in relation to the specific item it addresses. No amendment or waiver of these terms shall be binding unless confirmed in writing. The use of this service implies acceptance of the current version of the terms, including any updates made from time to time.

Booking Process

Bookings for Carpet Cleaning E14 may be made after the customer has provided accurate information about the property, the type and size of the carpets or rugs, the level of soiling, the presence of stains, and any access restrictions. Quotes are normally based on the information supplied at the time of booking. If the actual service requirements differ from the information initially provided, the final price or the time required may need to be adjusted. A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted it and, where applicable, received any required deposit or prepayment.

When arranging a carpet cleaning service, the customer must ensure that all details given are complete and correct. This includes the condition of the carpet, the presence of delicate fibres, and any known issues such as water damage, pet contamination, adhesive residue, or previous treatment by another contractor. If the customer fails to disclose relevant information, we may refuse to perform the work, revise the quotation, or treat the appointment as a cancellation by the customer. Where an appointment requires parking, access codes, or building entry arrangements, these must be provided in advance.

The customer agrees to provide a safe working environment. This means removing small items, valuables, and fragile objects from the area to be cleaned unless we expressly agree to handle them. We may move light furniture where reasonable, but we are not obliged to move heavy, fixed, or dangerous items. The customer should also ensure that water, electricity, and access to the relevant rooms are available at the time of the appointment. Delays caused by missing access or incomplete preparation may result in additional charges or reduced service time.

Pricing and Payments

Prices for carpet cleaning services are usually based on the size of the area, the number of rooms or items to be cleaned, the difficulty of the work, and any additional treatments requested. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are quoted in pounds sterling and may be subject to change before booking confirmation. A quote is an estimate based on the information available and is not a fixed price until confirmed in writing. Additional charges may apply for heavy staining, specialist equipment, out-of-hours attendance, parking costs, or work that takes significantly longer than expected due to factors not disclosed in advance.

Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking or in the service confirmation. We may require full payment in advance, a deposit, or payment immediately upon completion of the work. Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment, cash, or another agreed method. The customer must ensure that payment is made on time and in full. If payment is not received by the due date, we may charge interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law. We also reserve the right to suspend future bookings until outstanding sums are settled.

Any disputed invoice should be raised promptly. The customer must provide sufficient detail of the dispute and allow us a reasonable opportunity to review the matter. Undisputed amounts must still be paid by the due date. If a quote included a discount, promotional rate, or special offer, such benefit may be withdrawn if the customer changes the service scope, fails to meet the conditions of the offer, or cancels outside the permitted period. Payment of an invoice does not prevent either party from raising a valid issue later, but it is taken as acceptance of the service delivered unless there is clear written evidence to the contrary.

Cleaning team treating a carpet stain during serviceCancellations, Rescheduling, and Access

The customer may cancel or reschedule a booking, but reasonable notice must be given. Unless a different cancellation policy is stated in the quotation or booking confirmation, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may attract a cancellation fee to cover reserved time and administrative costs. Where materials have been specially ordered or significant travel or preparation has already taken place, the customer may be responsible for those costs as well. If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative time.

If our carpet cleaning team arrives and cannot begin work because of lack of access, unsafe conditions, no one present to provide entry, or missing utilities required for the job, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation or failed visit. In such cases, a call-out charge or minimum service fee may apply. The same applies where the customer is not ready to proceed at the agreed time or has not prepared the area sufficiently for the work to be carried out efficiently and safely. The customer should notify us as early as possible if a delay or issue is expected.

We may cancel or postpone a booking if circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent us from performing the service, including severe weather, transport disruption, equipment failure, illness, or building access restrictions. In these circumstances, we will not be liable for indirect losses arising from the cancellation, but we will use reasonable efforts to rearrange the appointment. If the customer has paid in advance for work that cannot be completed, we will refund the unused portion or offer a mutually agreed alternative date.

Service Standards and Liability

We will carry out carpet cleaning with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate cleaning methods and products selected according to the condition and material of the carpet, rug, or upholstery item. However, the customer acknowledges that not all stains, odours, or marks can be fully removed. Results may vary depending on fibre type, age, previous treatments, dye stability, and the nature of the contamination. Any estimate of expected results is given in good faith but is not a guarantee unless expressly confirmed in writing.

Waste handling and safe disposal during carpet cleaningBefore work begins, the customer should inform us of any allergy, sensitivity, health risk, or property issue relevant to the service. We may decline to use a product or process if we believe it could damage the item or create an unsafe condition. If the customer instructs us to proceed against our recommendation, that instruction is taken to be at the customer’s risk. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or deterioration that becomes visible during or after cleaning, provided we acted with reasonable care.

Our liability is limited to direct loss or damage caused by our negligence, breach of contract, or failure to perform the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law. Where liability is established, our total responsibility shall generally be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service, except where a greater amount is required by law. We are not responsible for loss of earnings, business interruption, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss.

The customer is responsible for protecting items that may be affected by moisture, cleaning agents, or movement during the service. This includes electrical goods, paper documents, antiques, unsecured valuables, and items placed on or near the area being cleaned. We will use reasonable care when moving light furniture, but we do not accept responsibility for damage resulting from fragile construction, unstable placement, pre-existing weakness, or hidden faults. If an item appears unsafe to move, we may leave it in place and clean around it.

Waste Handling, Environmental Duties, and Disposal

During carpet cleaning and associated stain removal, waste may be generated in the form of dirty water, extracted residue, packaging, used cloths, or minor contaminated materials. We will dispose of waste in a lawful and responsible manner. Where waste is removed from the premises by us, it will be handled in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations, environmental duties, and local disposal requirements. Waste must not be tipped, stored, or discharged in a way that could cause pollution, nuisance, or harm to drainage systems or the environment.

The customer must disclose any material that may be classified as hazardous, contaminated, or requiring specialist handling, such as bodily fluids, chemical spills, mould contamination, or pest-related waste. We may refuse to deal with such materials unless it is lawful, safe, and within the scope of our service arrangements. If specialist disposal, additional containment, or further protective measures are required, extra charges may apply. We will not knowingly dispose of regulated waste in an improper manner and may cease work immediately if the site conditions create a legal or environmental risk.

Any chemical products used in the course of service remain subject to their product instructions and safety information. The customer should follow all post-cleaning care guidance provided, including drying recommendations and restrictions on re-use of the area. If a carpet is returned to service too early, or if ventilation is inadequate, any resulting odour, marking, or moisture issue may not be attributable to our workmanship. The customer is responsible for ensuring proper air circulation after treatment unless we have agreed to provide an additional drying service.

Complaints, Guarantees, and Termination

Final inspection after professional carpet cleaningIf the customer is dissatisfied with the service, they should notify us within a reasonable time after completion and before any material changes are made to the cleaned area. This allows us to inspect the issue and determine whether a reasonable remedy is available. We may offer a return visit, partial re-clean, or other appropriate response where justified. A complaint does not entitle the customer to withhold payment for the entire service unless the work has wholly failed and a valid legal basis exists for doing so.

Any guarantee or satisfaction promise only applies where it is expressly stated in writing and subject to the stated conditions. No implied guarantee is given that every stain, odour, or mark will be removed entirely. The service may be terminated immediately by us if the customer behaves abusively, creates a hazard, refuses reasonable safety instructions, or requests unlawful or unsafe conduct. In such circumstances, the customer may still be charged for work already completed, time reserved, or expenses reasonably incurred.

We may also suspend or terminate service if the customer repeatedly fails to cooperate, provides misleading information, or breaches these terms in a serious way. Any termination does not affect rights and obligations that are intended to continue after completion, including payment obligations, liability limits, waste responsibilities, and governing law. The customer may not transfer their booking or rights under these terms to another person without our written consent.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the carpet cleaning service, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or legal remedies that apply in the customer’s favour. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. These terms represent the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the service and should be read as a fair framework for the delivery of professional carpet cleaning services.

By proceeding with a booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions. If you request carpet cleaning or any related cleaning service, you agree that the booking, payment, cancellation, liability, waste, and legal provisions set out above apply to the full extent permitted by law.
