Carpet Cleaning E14 Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which carpet cleaning services are provided within the E14 area and surrounding districts. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.

Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

Client means the person or organisation booking the carpet cleaning service.

Company means the carpet cleaning service provider operating in the E14 area.

Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.

Services means carpet cleaning and any related services agreed between the Client and the Company.

Technician means an employee, contractor, or representative of the Company assigned to perform the Services.

Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet cleaning services within E14 and nearby areas. The exact scope of the Services will be confirmed at the time of booking and may include, but is not limited to, vacuuming, stain treatment, hot water extraction, dry cleaning methods, rug cleaning and upholstery cleaning if specifically agreed.

All Services are provided on the basis of reasonable care and skill. The Company will use cleaning methods and products considered appropriate for the type of carpet, level of soiling, and condition of the Premises, based on information provided by the Client and the Technician's professional assessment on arrival.

Booking Process

Bookings for carpet cleaning in E14 can be made by the Client through the Company’s accepted communication channels as advised on its official materials. When placing a booking, the Client must provide accurate and complete information regarding:

The full address of the Premises within the service area.

The type and approximate size of carpets or rugs to be cleaned.

The presence of particular stains, heavy soiling, or damage.

Any access restrictions, parking limitations, or special entry instructions.

The Company reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking where insufficient or inaccurate information has been provided, or where the Premises fall outside the usual service area.

A booking is only confirmed when the Company has accepted the request and provided a date and time for the appointment. The Company may offer an estimated arrival window rather than an exact time. While the Company will use reasonable efforts to attend within the agreed timeframe, arrival times are not guaranteed.

Access to Premises and Client Obligations

The Client must ensure that the Technician has safe and unobstructed access to the Premises at the agreed time. This includes providing any necessary access codes, keys, or entry instructions and arranging parking where possible in the vicinity of the Premises.

The Client should remove small items, fragile objects, and valuable possessions from the areas to be cleaned prior to the Technician's arrival. Where heavy furniture or items need to be moved, the Client must inform the Company in advance. Movement of large or delicate furniture is at the discretion of the Technician, who may refuse to move items where there is a risk of damage or injury.

The Client must ensure that electricity and water are available at the Premises for the duration of the Services. If Services cannot be completed due to lack of access, utilities, or other circumstances within the Client's control, the Company may charge a call-out or cancellation fee as set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Pricing and Quotations

Prices for carpet cleaning Services are generally based on room size, item type, level of soiling, and access considerations within the service area. Any quotation given by the Company is an estimate only, based on the information provided by the Client at the time of enquiry.

The Company reserves the right to amend the quoted price on site if:

The actual areas or items to be cleaned differ from those described.

The level of soiling, staining, or damage is greater than initially indicated.

There are access difficulties, parking charges, or additional work requested by the Client.

The Technician will explain any necessary price adjustment before commencing the work. If the Client does not agree to the revised price, the Company may cancel the Service, and a reasonable call-out fee may apply to cover travel and administrative costs.

Payments and Invoicing

Payment for Services is due in full on completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. The Company accepts payment by the methods specified in its current payment policy, which may include cash, card payment, or bank transfer.

Where the Client is a business, managing agent, or landlord, the Company may agree to issue an invoice payable within a specified period. Any such credit arrangements must be agreed in writing before the date of the Service. The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at the statutory rate and to recover any reasonable costs of collection.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that the individual present at the Premises is authorised to approve the work and make or confirm payment arrangements on the Client's behalf.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show

The Client may cancel or reschedule a booked Service by providing reasonable notice to the Company. Unless otherwise specified in writing, the following terms will apply:

Cancellations or rescheduling with at least 24 hours notice prior to the agreed appointment time will usually be accepted without charge.

Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee, which may be up to a reasonable percentage of the quoted price or a fixed call-out charge to cover lost time and administrative costs.

If the Technician attends the Premises at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or the Client is not present where required, or the job cannot proceed due to circumstances within the Client's control, this will be treated as a late cancellation. A full or partial charge may apply at the Company’s discretion.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Service due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, vehicle breakdown, severe weather, or other events beyond the Company’s reasonable control. In such cases, the Company will offer an alternative appointment and shall not be liable for any resulting loss or inconvenience.

Client Satisfaction and Complaints

The Company aims to provide a high standard of carpet cleaning to Clients in the E14 area. The Client should inspect the work upon completion and raise any immediate concerns with the Technician on site where possible.

If the Client is not satisfied with the quality of the Service, they must notify the Company as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the Service. The Company may request photographs or additional information to assess the issue.

Where a complaint is justified, the Company may, at its discretion, offer to re-clean the affected areas or provide a partial refund. Re-cleaning will be limited to the specific areas in question and does not imply any admission of liability.

Limitations of Service and Results

While the Company will use appropriate cleaning techniques and solutions, there is no guarantee that all stains, odours, or marks will be entirely removed. The success of stain removal depends on factors such as the nature of the stain, the length of time it has been present, previous cleaning attempts, the material of the carpet, and general wear.

The Company will not be responsible for pre-existing damage, discolouration, shrinkage, colour run, or wear that becomes more visible after cleaning. Some carpets and rugs may react unpredictably to cleaning processes due to their composition or previous treatments. The Technician will exercise reasonable care but cannot be held liable for inherent defects or risks associated with certain materials.

Liability and Indemnity

The Company will carry out the Services with reasonable care and skill and will maintain appropriate insurance cover in line with industry practice.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Subject to the preceding paragraph, the Company’s liability to the Client arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the total price paid or payable for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment, arising from the provision or non-provision of the Services.

The Client is responsible for securing valuables, fragile items, and breakables prior to the Service. The Client agrees to indemnify the Company against any claims by third parties arising from the Client’s breach of these Terms and Conditions or any failure to provide accurate information regarding the Premises or carpets.

Health, Safety and Environmental Considerations

The Company uses cleaning agents and equipment in accordance with relevant health and safety guidance. The Technician may advise the Client to keep children and pets away from treated areas until carpets are fully dry or safe to walk on.

The Client must inform the Company before the Service of any known allergies, sensitivities, or specific health concerns that may be affected by cleaning products. The Company will, where reasonably possible, suggest alternative products or methods, but cannot guarantee that all risk of reaction can be eliminated.

Waste Regulations and Disposal

The Company operates in compliance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations. Any waste generated as part of the carpet cleaning process, such as used cleaning solutions, rinse water, or extracted soiling, will be managed and disposed of in accordance with current legal and environmental standards.

Where the Company removes waste from the Premises, it will handle such waste responsibly and only through authorised disposal routes. The Client agrees not to request or permit any unlawful disposal of waste and acknowledges that improper disposal may constitute a criminal offence under UK law.

If the Client has particular requirements relating to waste handling or environmental policies at the Premises, these must be communicated in advance. The Company will take reasonable steps to accommodate such requirements where practicable.

Property Damage and Keys

If access to the Premises is granted by key, fob, or other device, the Company will take reasonable care for its security while in possession. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from faulty or insecure locks, pre-existing security weaknesses, or third-party actions beyond the control of the Company.

Any claim for damage to property must be reported to the Company as soon as reasonably possible and in any event no later than 48 hours after completion of the Service. The Company reserves the right to inspect the alleged damage before any remedial action or compensation is agreed.

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be in breach of these Terms and Conditions, nor liable for delay in performing or failure to perform any of its obligations, where such delay or failure results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond its reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, flooding, fire, industrial action, public transport disruption, road closures, or acts of government or public authorities.

Use of Personal Information

The Company will collect and use basic personal information such as name, address, and contact details solely for the purpose of managing bookings, providing Services, handling payments, and dealing with enquiries or complaints. Personal information will be stored securely and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws in the United Kingdom.

Amendments to These Terms and Conditions

The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law, industry practice, or the nature of its Services. The version in force at the time of the Client’s booking will apply to that specific Service.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, such provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of carpet cleaning Services within the service area. They supersede any prior discussions, understandings, or agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

By placing a booking for carpet cleaning in E14 or the surrounding area, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
